SwissPhrase Technical Documentation: everything about how invisible data encryption in images works and why it is the new generation security standard.

FAQ-01 / Algorithms and Steganography
What is the difference between steganography and regular encryption?
Encryption makes a message unreadable, but the fact of the data's existence is obvious. Steganography makes data invisible. Using SwissPhrase, you hide the very existence of the secret by dissolving it within the image pixels. This is ideal protection against targeted attacks and digital media inspections.
What is the LSB algorithm and why is it secure?
LSB (Least Significant Bit) is the replacement of the least significant bits in RGB color channels. We have limited the writing density to 4% of the file capacity. This means that color changes are so minuscule that they are indistinguishable from digital noise even under professional software analysis of image histograms.
Can a secret be detected using AI or scanners?
Modern steganalyzers look for anomalies in byte distribution. Thanks to our 4% Safety Limit and preliminary AES-256-GCM encryption, the embedded data appears as chaotic white noise. To any scanner, such an image will be identical to the original shot with natural sensor grain.
Why is the PNG format used specifically?
The PNG format uses lossless compression. Unlike JPEG, which discards "excess" data to reduce weight, PNG preserves every pixel in its original form. This ensures that your secret will not be corrupted during file saving or transmission.
FAQ-02 / Protecting Seed Phrases and Passwords
How secure is it to store a Seed phrase in a photo?
This is the most reliable method in 2026. Even if your computer or cloud is compromised, a hacker will see hundreds of ordinary photos. They will have no reason to look for hidden text inside them. Without knowing exactly which photo is "loaded" and without a master password, access to your crypto assets is impossible.
Does the service adhere to the Zero-Knowledge principle?
Yes. SwissPhrase operates as an isolated terminal. We do not store your passwords, log texts, or cache images. Processing occurs in RAM and is instantly erased after the result is delivered. We are building a tool to which even we have no "backdoor".

Steganography as a Web 3.0 Privacy Standard

In a world where cybercrime is becoming an industry, traditional data protection methods are no longer sufficient. Hiding text in a picture is not just a trick; it's a way to ensure the physical security of information. The SwissPhrase project combines two powerful pillars of security: AES-256 cryptographic strength and the stealth of LSB steganography.

Why use online encryption in images?

When you use a regular password manager or cloud notes, you trust a third-party provider. When you use SwissPhrase, you create an invisible container that looks like a standard PNG file. You can send it via Telegram, store it in Google Photos, or on a flash drive—no one will suspect that your Seed phrase or corporate access database is inside.

Technical Superiority of SwissPhrase

Our algorithm is optimized for stability. We have abandoned the standard 10-15% pixel filling in favor of a 4% Ultra-Safe limit. This ensures that even when viewing photos on a professional 4K monitor or during automatic verification by messenger bots, the hidden information remains secure. Encrypting text in a photo using our service provides mathematically proven unbreakability without possession of the unique decryption key.
